“Corn Maze”… Mermaid Bay AIR was in the area filming and happened to stumble across a corn maze out at Shockley Farms in Cape Charles Virginia. We thought we saw some strange things, but oh boy! Pass the holy water. We filmed all of this with our UAS (drone) good thing, we needed a fast getaway.

PS: In case anyone is wondering, no I have not gone to the dark side, we simply filmed this as a way to demonstrate how we can use our UAS (drone) to simulate a 3 axis gimbal steady cam effect. Most will recall this type of motion from the maze scene in Stanley Kubrick’s The Shining. Yes, everything seen here is filmed by our unmanned aircraft, however the technique we used in how to film was very similar to what Kubrick did. If you watch Corn Maze with good headphones, you will not be able to sleep at night. The soundtrack I wrote is an attempt at Wendy\Walter Carlos late seventies synthesizer fashion.
