Hi Folks!
Yesterday I had the pleasure of fishing\filming\ and documenting an offshore trip with Captain Max King. Max has put Jim Baugh Productions to work producing a live eeling DVD that Max will be promoting later this year. This was our first trip out to get some footage, and we landed a great 44 inch Rockfish!
This was no easy day. In the morning we were faced with 5-6 foot seas, and yes, we turned around later giving it a good try, but none of us felt like swamping a boat in January, so we headed back to the dock, and found a coffee shop.
After about two hours, the 25 knot wind had laid down enough for us to cross one choppy Bay. The only other boat I saw that day and Spoke to was Herb Gordon, who braved the weather and also landed a nice haul of fish down south.
The fishing is great, along as the weather hangs in there with us. Stay tuned for more info on the live eeling DVD, and we will all be down in Miami at the International Boat show comming up next month.
