Hauled for Rockfish

We have the Pursuit hauled out at Sunset Boating Center complete with a fresh new bottom paint job. We are doing some maintenance on her including new power trim and tilt on the Suzuki's, also we had the Radar rewired with new cabling. Also some other small projects, like new raw water wash down pump and house freshwater pump.

She is ready to go back in the water any day now, just in time for this years Rockfish season.

The reports on Rockfish were a little light this weekend. One angler I know chunked the MM tunnel and caught quite a few. The early season is always productive chunking around the pilings at the MM. The Spot bite is still hot, the larger fish seem to be around the HRBT in deeper water. Nothing else taste quite as good as fried Spot! We will be heading out again this week to produce a show on the fall Spot fishing.
Tight lines, happy Rockfish season!
