The first annual Captain Jim Brincefield Memorial Sea Bass
Tourney yielded a great time and a boat load of fish. We departed out of
Lynhaven Inlet onboard with Captain Steve Wray and crew to film this awesome
tribute to the late great Captain Jim Brincefield and what a day it was.
Our mission to go catch some giant sea bass was delayed a
bit due to the fact that the tuna bite was hot and heavy offshore at the
canyon. We all agreed that it would be wise to go tackle some big tuna before
bottom bouncing for some nice bass. The tuna hit almost immediately, we boated
two, lost a few and then headed out further to deep drop for some big black
willies.
While catching some nice sea bass we were treated with some
excellent tile fish that certainly were welcomed later at the filet station.
This was a wonderful day on the water fishing and filming
honoring our dear friend and one who made sea bass fishing I the mid atlantic legendary,
Captain Jim Brincefield. May he rest in peace.
A sample clip will be posted here and the finished segment
will air as a part of the JBOTV 2016 season. For charter info contact
