The races were in the Hampton Roads area, but shooting out to the Bay was just to tempting, so Captain Trav headed for the Chesapeake.
At one point captain Trav ask our guest how she liked the ride, she said, "It's like being on a roller coaster-but with Sharks" Then she leaned over to me and whispered, "I don't like roller coasters" It did not take long before she felt very comfortable with the boat leaning over the side, or the water down in the galley, or, just putting up with our crew. A great time was had by all.
If you are visiting Hampton, you can see a lot of the sailboats from most locations along the downtown waterfront. You can also check to see if the Ms. Hampton tour boat is heading out for a Wed. afternoon cruise. You can see the sailboat races on the way back to the harbor.
We have been invited back for next Wed. sailboat race, we should have our sailboat sea legs back on by then. Looking forward to it.
Hopefully we can finally get on these Flounder and fix up some filet's after the race. Make a great show!
Also we would like to congratulate Captain Pete for getting his 200 ton captains license. Way to go Captain Pete!!
